Cambridge Delta 1 FAQs (video)

In my Live Chat Series, I invite speakers from all over the world to share their inspiring stories, expert opinions, experiences, advice on education, and much more!

In this informal interview, I had a special guest speaker Alastair Grant from the UK who:

  • Is a head of English at Colegio Nuevo de Las Lomas in Buenos Aires, and a teacher trainer for IH Montevideo and IH Lima, where he runs the Cambridge Delta 1
  • Is a teacher trainer for IH Mexico
  • Has been Director of Studies at IH Montevideo, IH San Isidro, and at Colegio San Luis in Victoria, Buenos Aires
  • Holds an Honours Degree in English Literature and Philosophy from the University of Warwick in the UK, has completed the International House Certificate of Advanced Methodology, all modules of the Cambridge Delta and the Cambridge Train the Trainer Certificate
  • Has delivered teacher training in the UK, Argentina, Uruguay, Peru, Chile, Paraguay, and Egypt, as well as at schools in underprivileged neighbourhoods in Buenos Aires.

In our chat we’ve discussed:

  • What the Delta 1 consists of (course and exam)
  • Is it worth taking the Delta 1 without the other modules
  • Qualifications needed to enter the Delta 1
  • What happens if you fail the exam, reassessment, and refund
  • Jobs you become qualified for after passing the Delta 1

Many thanks to Alastair for such an insightful chat!
